So, if this is your first mortgage, or you are renewing, refinancing, or taking out a second mortgage, we are here to make the process stress-free and easy.
We like to keep the mortgage loan process as simple and straightforward as possible. We believe that getting a mortgage does not have to take up all your free time.
Our first step is to meet with you to discuss your mortgage needs, this can be done a number of ways, you can come to our office, we can have a phone meeting, come to your house or meet at a restaurant or pub that is convenient for you. You decide what works best, we understand busy work / life schedules and are happy to accommodate you.
At this meeting we will discuss your mortgage, fill out the application and sign the credit check document(s) if you are wanting to get the loan process started. We can also collect any tax or employment documents that you have ready.
Once we have the signed and dated credit check document we will send in for your credit score, review and make sure we have all the information needed, and find the best mortgage rate and lender for you needs. We will then submit your application for pre-approval.
Once your offer as been accepted, we will submit your application for the mortgage to the lender. We will need to gather documents such as: property taxes for the purchasing property, and a copy of the accepted offer. You will need to have an appraisal done on the property which is required by the lender. We have great relationships with local appraisers and can put you in contact with one right away.
Once the subjects are removed and the lender approves your mortgage we will meet to finalize all the paperwork and get signatures on the remaining documents. If you choose to use your own lawyer or notary, we will require that person’s name and contact information.
When we approach the closing date, the lender will put together a document package and send it to your assigned signing branch. The branch will then contact you and set an appointment to come in, review, and sign the last of the documents.
Congratulations, you will now have purchased your new home and all that is left is to move in!
